Hey, Joe Now Available in print and Kindle on Amazon.com

CoverI have finally entered the digital age. Well, with my books at least.

My first book, “Hey,Joe-a slice of the city, an American in Manila” was first released way back in 2000. Over the years it has been a consistent seller in National Book Store, Fully Booked and various other outlets around the Philippines and also online. We have racked up over 12,000 copies sold and we are still counting.

Of course since 2000 the world of book selling has changed dramatically, with Amazon and other services opening up entire new world’s for writers and publishers.  Admittedly I was slow to catch the bandwagon. My original publisher got out of the business, and I balked at trying to figure out how to get control of my books and take the reins in both publishing and selling.  I’m actually pretty good at tech, but the book publishing waters presented what appeared to be an abyss of information and logistics that turned me way off. Until now.

I’m proud to announce that “Hey,Joe” is now available on all channels of Amazon.com, both via print and a Kindle e-book version.  The print version is available worldwide for $14.95. The Kindle version is available for instant download for just $4.99. Click the banner below and that will take you straight to the “Hey,Joe” page of Amazon.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. My second book, “The Traveler and the Gate Checkers”, a book of Asian travel essays which was released in 2003, is currently in post production and will be released on Amazon in the next two weeks, complete with a new cover. This book really never got the promotion that ‘Hey,Joe’ did and I’m excited to finally be able to promote it properly.

For now, however, let’s focus on “Hey,Joe.” If you love the Philippines, or you are planning on visiting for the first time and want to understand how the place works from the viewpoint of a foreigner who dives in to even the nastiest and craziest of locales, then get your hands on a copy of “Hey, Joe.”  It’s now easier than ever.

Ain’t technology just great?
