Ridhwan’s Road To Redemption

After his first professional loss to Paulus Ambunda in September, Singapore’s Muhamad “The Chosen Wan” Ridhwan has found himself on a difficult path to redemption.

It’s easy when you’re winning every fight and becoming the country’s most decorated boxer on the way. But as soon as he suffered his first loss, Ridhwan found that the nation started to turn their back on him. An ironic reminder of his amateur days, he went from the country’s poster boy to a forgotten boxer. Every mention of a rematch online seemed to just have a crowd of Ambunda’s supporters in the comments.

Having had his rematch postponed to a later date, Ridhwan looks to start over where it all began, the Philippines, the country where he had his professional debut. Ridhwan heads to Survival Camp Cavite to begin his Road to Redemption.
